Mental Health Events

As we begin our next mental health worship series, Seeking Balance, we are inviting everyone in our congregation and community to participate in these two opportunities for learning and growing together. Hope to see you there!

Inside Out — Free Movie Night

Tuesday, April 25
5:30pm - Hot Dog Bar & Sides
6:00pm - Movie & Discussion Time

Within the mind of a young girl named Riley are the basic emotions that control her actions: Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, and Anger. Her experiences become memories, stored as colored orbs, which are sent into long-term memory each night. The aspects of five most important "core memories" within her personality incorporate the form of five floating islands. Joy acts as the leader, and she and the rest of the emotions try to limit Sadness' influence.

Ending the Silence — Free Presentation

Tuesday, May 2
5:30pm - Pizza & Dessert
6:00pm - Presentation & Discussion Time

Hosted by NAMI of Dodge County, Ending the Silence is a one hour presentation and Q&A session that invites students (ages 13-18), parents, and anyone who works with or cares for youth. Participating in this program has shown to improve knowledge of mental health among young people. Participants will learn about mental health conditions and hear from young adults about their journey to recovery. Students will also learn warning signs so they can get help for themselves or friends.
